Detailed Fetal Ultrasound: Overview
Detailed fetal ultrasound, performed at the appropriate stage of pregnancy, systematically evaluates the baby's organ development, placental location, amniotic fluid and growth measurements. Findings are interpreted together with gestational age and maternal risk factors.
How is the assessment planned?
Each procedure and follow-up plan is individualized by considering gestational age, the mother’s medical history, previous pregnancies, current ultrasound findings and any available screening results together.
This page is for general information only. Whether a procedure is indicated and its appropriate timing are determined through individual medical assessment.
